A moving coming-of-age story about family, loss and belonging.
Overview
The story follows two boys who run away from their home in England to find their estranged grandfather in Ireland. We were tasked with a lot of sky replacements to match the mood of the scenes, environment cleanups, background modifications and integrating 2d element dolphins into the sea. All the work was managed in a very short schedule and delivered at high quality.
We had multiple scenes and shots where sky replacements were needed to match the emotional sequences. This meant creating a 270-degree sky map that could be rotated to match angles and position and keep continuity with the handheld camera movements. The 270-degree sky was stitched together and used over multiple sequences.
