Overview
In Joachim Trier’s exquisite drama, an egotistical director attempts to reconnect with the family he abandoned by turning their shared past into cinema. As old wounds resurface and long buried tensions come to light, the boundaries between art and life begin to blur, forcing each of them to confront what has been lost and what might still be repaired.
We were challenged with a last minute request to build a CG field of wheat that actors are running through. The shot sees two kids being chased by soldiers as they run to catch a moving train. We built and simulated the wheat field and combined rotomation for the interaction with some clever comp work.
